I remember falling in love with clay at my very first sculpture lesson at school. It almost felt like I was drawing in air. My fascination for the medium led me to doing a degree in fine art, specialising in Sculpture. I also learnt pottery for many years under a renowned potter in India. After a long break due to relocating to the UK, I now continue to practise, learn and refine my art at a studio in Surrey.

My work is usually thrown on the wheel and sometimes hand-built using earthenware clays. I take inspiration from the traditional folk art patterns as well as the textiles from around the world. My childhood memories of growing up in India, surrounded by its rich heritage of art and craft, also greatly influences my work.
